Patriot Guard

Post by Miss G on Wed Jan 26, 2011 4:45 am

I joined the Patriot Guard Riders last night. I ride in my first funeral Saturday. It's going to be an emotional day, without a doubt. What a wonderful thing this group does. Membership is free. I don't mean to push/promote, only an FYI.

That is awesome. I'll have to look into it when I get to work.

My Neighbor, his wife, and tenant are all members.

He also subs as Co CAPT for a lot of the ride duties lately too in the Eastern part of the state.

Where is the local chapter. I used to be in the gulf coast patriot guard but it disbanded.

I'm not entirely sure where the base is. The fella who seems to be heading things up on this side of the bay lives in Fairhope. Let me know and I'll pass his contact info on if you join up. Very Happy

I rode with the PGR yesterday and all I can say is WOW!! I can't begin to explain the feelings. There had to be 50 bikes there!! Looking at that wall of people and flags surrounding that family was overwhelming, to say the least.

Yes it is a humbling experience. I loved riding gulf coast guard till they disbanded. I sent an email to one of the guard contacts but no one has answered me so who did you contact.

Gregory "Big Daddy" Brown jollydog@att.net He's a ride captain in this area.

The best part was hitting the road afterwards with some old and new friends and just riding to some different places. What a Face
