Wife's ride

Post by HenryD on Tue May 25, 2010 8:36 pm

Well....she doesn't really "do the forum" thing much so I usually take liberty with her pictures lol.

My ride is a 03 Honda VTX 1800C with almost 20K on it. Her ride is a 2009 Yamaha XVS950T, which we transformmed into a solo ride for just her. For twenty years she told me I couldn't have a bike....well I showed her and bought it anyway lol. Long story short, after 20 minutes of riding with me, she leans up and says, "You gotta buy me one now" Shocked Shocked so.....she showed me. She took the MSF course and I bought her a slightly used Suzuki S50 which she learned on, dropped a couple times and basically got her nerves about herself on. Shortly after that, after so many good things about the new 950, the guys (Trent, Steve and Danny) over at Halls let her test drive one. Needless to say, she showed me again, and drove it home, after trading in the Suzuki. So, here is a couple pics of her ride.

Here is a picture of ours together.

I guess you showed her. How come hers looks better. lol Both bikes are very nice. I like the yamaha better myself. And tell her she needs to make at least one post.

Nice looking 950. That is what my wife wants the 950, she has been riding for a year and loves it she has done great, started her on a 650 custom. Do you ride with Trent on the dinner rides they have?

Nice Bikes, I like that red. I'm really checking out her ride, that is what I'm eyeing when I look to upgrade the 950!

We have done the dinner rides a few times. Its tough for us to make all the time mainly due to work and kid. I work in McIntosh myself and its a haul to get to Mobile at 6 PM.

As far as the 950.......My wife loves it! Center of gravity is nice, it rides and looks MUCH bigger than it is. Side by side, its as long as my 1800.....she just says it fits her really well.
