Highway bars

Post by Guest on Mon Jun 28, 2010 1:08 pm

I really want a set for my Vegas but I dont want them overwhelming! I was looking at these but not sure what I am looking at.

Will these protect the engine or are they just pegs? I don't plan on needing my engine protected but want something with a duel purpose for stretching my legs on long rides.

They will protect SOME, but not all that well. Those can bend if hit hard enough. Probably what you want is called a moustache bar. I don't know if they make them for for your year of Victory though. Small, yet functional and have highway pegs built in. This one may fit, but not sure. Will at least give you an idea of the look.

Well I wont be buying that soon, so I have time to think. I just am not sure I want them to mess up the look of the bike. But the other night comming home I got cramps in my legs and just wanted to stretch them out! I like the little stright bar because they are not bulky, the Linby is slim as well. Seeing as I am so confused..keep posting!

the lindby are bars for protection the other bars just clamp on to the downtubes aka no protection for a drop at all

You can also put a set of highway pegs on the lindby bars. Makes life a little more bearable. Like the pegs on my engine guard.

Ted might need some help! lol as he always takes my jobs away from me and does them. When it comes to the bike anyway, never seen him grab a basket of laundry out of my arms..or spoon out of my hand..or mop out of my hands...hmm there is a pattern here.
