Cool!! at least your bottom is all in one piece, looks like a fun fall project. If I can talk my wife out of wanting the sporty I would like to turn it into an adventure style bike.

Hayweed it's going to be a blast. If it runs like it used to it will be worth it
It's mostly cleaning. I'll get it running and decide what next. It's got the two piece sprocket, so it can be ridden on or off road. take about 7 minutes to change it over.

So how is your project going? Still have not started on the sporty project been working almost full time with the current projects. I'm Looking for a newer HD touring bike where I can bring the wife along on some rides but also to ride back and forth to Dothan the next few months for work. Take care.

he he remember them Hodakas well , cool little project there

I've thought about an ADV based Sporty as well

there is an outfit ( or person ) at the ADVRiders (??) forum who has ADV kits for the Sporty , though I think it is way over priced ..

If I can get past things breaking at the house, bike breaking down and SUV wanting to break down, I may get something done. I found several good sites for parts. Some people try to get blood out a turnip.
