Re: New Newb - Bay Minette
I haven't taken the course at ESHD. I took 2 safety courses waaaaaay back in '83 and they were tough-ish but very good. I left there a fairly confident rider. Just took time in the saddle putting what I'd learned into practice.
Relax....you'll do great!!! Don't over think it....

I used to do the same thing. I started chanting in my brain, don't think, just do.. I'm having a blast riding now!

As long as you watch for hazards ie turning too sharp into a curve or some dingbat cager you willbe fine.

Re: New Newb - Bay Minette
Wooooooooooooooooooop! I successfully completed my course this afternoon
I won the best posture award, too
One of our compadres left the class mid-morning and that whole thing sort of messed with my confidence. I took some time during lunch to sort of clear the mechanism and boost up my confidence again and I just rolled with it (no pun intended). It's been a tough last four days. Passed the written test with only two wrong for a score of 96 and before we'd even taken our skills eval on the range, our instructor told us he'd already passed us
We rocked!!!
4 dudes and 1 chick in the class (moi). It was awesome fun. If any of you know of any new riders, I highly recommend the Eastern Shore Harley Davidson class. Definitely worth the time and money. They'll leave feeling much more confident. Larry Lindsey is an awesome instructor
Now to put the skills to more practice and become an even better rider.

Woooo hoooo!!!
I knew you'd do it! Anytime you wanna ride, I'm ready!
My advice now....don't let anyone drive your bike but you. Meaning...drive within YOUR comfort zone....only YOU should ever push yourself outside of that. I did some of that for myself yesterday and no one died, so I'm thrilled.
I rode the interstate from Biloxi to Mobile.... See, told ya there's things that make me nervous.
Congrats....now, ride!

Welcome from WeMo, and just take it slow until you feel comfortable. The MSF course will make your fears go away and make you more comfortable on the bike.
