When in doubt, I always refer to this site. Hope it will help some of you.

My last bike was a Honda. And I was always trying to find an oil that would not hurt the clutches. So I figured I would put it on here for those that may be wondering the same thing.

With the wet clutches you have to be sure not to run the energy conserving oils because they contains large amounts of moly (very slick stuff).

(1)Be sure you buy an API certified oil.
(2)Check the bottom half of the API seal, if it has the words ‘Energy Conserving’ then its probably better to pass on that one.

I personally run the Shell Rotella T 15w-40 in the white container and the Pure One fliter.

This si a great link but its at least 6 years old. Great info, but as stated above watch oil with friction modifiers if you have a wet clutch .
